Privacy

The short version

• No cookies are set by this site.
• No analytics beacon, tag manager, session recorder or advertising pixel runs on any page.
• No third-party JavaScript loads anywhere, so nothing is shared with anyone by your browser simply visiting.
• Your learning progress stays in your own browser and is never transmitted.
• Nothing is sold, rented or shared with data brokers, ever.

Who is responsible

Nuralyn, LLC operates this site and the application at /app. Questions about anything on this page go to privacy@thesecondbuild.dev.

What the website collects

Nothing that identifies you. The pages are static files. Our hosting provider processes standard request information such as IP address and user agent in order to serve the page and to absorb attacks, and it aggregates traffic counts without cookies or cross-site identifiers. We do not receive a profile of you and cannot build one.

What the application stores

The learning application keeps your lesson progress, your declared stage, any figures you enter in the company section, and your light or dark theme preference in your browser’s local storage. That data stays on your device. It is not sent to a server, it is not backed up by us, and clearing your browser storage deletes it permanently. The calculators compute entirely in your browser, so figures you type into them never leave your machine.

What a purchase collects

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc.. Your card details are entered on their systems and never reach ours. After a successful purchase we receive and store your email address, the amount and date of the purchase, and a fingerprint of the license key issued to you. The key itself is never stored, so nobody here can read it, and neither can anyone who obtains the records. That record exists so we can deliver your license, honor the updates window you paid for, and meet tax and accounting obligations.

Stripe, Inc. processes payments as a data controller in its own right for fraud prevention and regulatory purposes. Their privacy policy governs that processing.

Email

We email you a link for collecting your license key, and a second link if you ask us to replace a key you have lost. The key is never in the email: the link opens a page that shows it to you once. If something material changes about your access we email a notice about that too. We do not run a marketing list and we do not add you to one. If we ever start one, joining it will be an action you take deliberately.

How long any of it is kept

Purchase records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, and license records for as long as the license is valid. Ask us to delete your email address and purchase record and we will, subject to those obligations, understanding that we then cannot issue you a replacement key, because your address is how a replacement is found.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask for corrections and ask for deletion. Write to privacy@thesecondbuild.dev and we will respond. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under state privacy laws, so there is no opt out to offer you.

Children

This is a product for people running businesses and it is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If this notice changes in substance, the effective date above changes with it. Material changes affecting existing customers are emailed to them.
